About The Wealth Theory

Clear, honest money advice, written by someone who learned it the hard way.

Hi, I am Anita Johnson, the founder of The Wealth Theory. I started this site for a simple reason: I struggled with money for years, and almost none of the advice I found actually helped.

Most of it was either overwhelming, buried in jargon, or quietly trying to sell me something. What I needed was plain, honest guidance from someone who had been where I was. So once I finally started figuring things out, I decided to become that person for other people.

My story

For a long time, I lived paycheck to paycheck. I carried debt that felt impossible to shift, I had no savings buffer, and every unexpected bill sent me into a small panic. I did not come from money, and nobody ever taught me how any of this worked.

Slowly, through a lot of trial and error, I learned. I built my first small emergency fund. I paid off my debt using methods I now write about here. I learned to budget in a way that actually stuck, and eventually I started saving and investing for the future. None of it was fast, and none of it was clever. It was just consistent, honest effort, and the right information explained simply.

What this site is

The Wealth Theory is where I share everything I learned, in the plainest language I can. I write about budgeting, saving money, getting out of debt, investing for the long term, building extra income, and protecting what you have with the right insurance.

Every article is written to be genuinely useful, the kind of advice you would get from a financially savvy friend who explains things clearly and has nothing to sell you. Where I share a personal experience, it is a real one. Where I explain a strategy, I explain the honest trade-offs, including when something is not right for you.

What I believe

Good money advice should be clear, honest, and free of jargon. It should respect that everyone starts from a different place, and it should never make you feel stupid for not already knowing something. Nobody is born understanding this stuff. We all have to learn it, and you can learn it too.

Whatever stage you are at, whether you are trying to escape debt, build your first savings, or start investing, my goal is the same: to help you make confident, informed decisions with your money. Thank you for being here. I am genuinely glad you came.

A note

The Wealth Theory provides general educational information, not personalized financial, legal, or tax advice. Everyone's situation is different, so always consider your own circumstances and speak with a qualified professional for decisions specific to you.
